A concrete mixer transporter, commonly known as a concrete mixer truck, is specially designed to mix and deliver ready-mix concrete to construction sites. It is made up of two main parts: the vehicle chassis and a specialized concrete mixing and transport system.

 

The chassis forms the base of the mixer truck and is typically a second-class general-purpose chassis supplied by a commercial vehicle manufacturer. It provides mobility and structural support for the entire unit.

Mounted on the chassis is the specialized equipment used for mixing, transporting, and discharging concrete. This system includes several key components:

Mixing Drum (Cylinder): The rotating drum that mixes and transports the concrete.

Front and Rear Supports: Structures that securely hold the drum in place.

Hydraulic System: Powers the rotation of the drum using hydraulic pressure.

Reducer: A gearbox that reduces the speed of the hydraulic motor to the optimal rotation speed for the drum.

Operating System (Maneuvering Mechanism): Allows the operator to control the direction and speed of drum rotation.

Discharge System (Extractor): Facilitates the unloading of concrete at the job site.

Cleaning System: Used to wash the drum and prevent residual concrete from hardening inside the tank.
