Why Does a Concrete Mixer Truck Keep Turning While Traveling?

Concrete is one of the most essential building materials in modern construction. Concrete mixer trucks are specially designed to transport a mixture of cement, sand, stone, and water to construction sites. The drum (or mixing tank) on the truck keeps rotating continuously while the truck is on the move. This constant rotation ensures that the concrete remains uniformly mixed, preventing the ingredients from separating or settling during transport. It also helps maintain the desired slump (workability) of the concrete, ensuring it stays in the right consistency for pouring once it reaches the site. Without this rotation, the concrete could harden or become uneven, leading to poor construction quality.
